Miss MD Job's Daughter

Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Maryland Job’s Daughter web site. My Name is Caitlin Litzenberger and I am the Miss Maryland Job’s Daughter. Also, I am a senior at Calvary Chapel Christian Academy. I am extremely honored to be representing the Daughters of Maryland this year. My Mascot for the year is Lamb Chop. When I was a little girl Lamb Chop was the only thing in this world to make me feel safe. Now using him as my mascot, I know that he will be with me every step of the way into a new adventurous year.
Now let me tell you a little more about Job’s Daughters. Job’s Daughter was founded in the year of 1920, by Mrs. Ethel Theresa Weed Mick. She knew that young girls needed something in their lives to help them with social skills. She also knew that with this organization, there were three important life skills to be taught.
First was Teamwork. Job’s Daughter would not be where it is today without Teamwork. The daughters and adults need to work together in order for Job’s Daughters to succeed.
The second point Mother Mick made was Public Speaking. In some point in life, everyone has to speak in front of people. That’s the way we as humans communicate. Without a good foundation of Public Speaking, we could be trampled in the real world.
Last, but certainly not least, Mother Mick felt Confidence was a major key in Job’s Daughters. Confidence is a strong attribute and Job’s Daughters teaches the confidence to be strong. With these three skills plus many more, Job’s Daughter will transform any daughter to be a better person.
With all of this said, there are some qualifications to join our organization. A daughter must be between the ages of 10 and 20, have proper Masonic relationship, and desire to join! If you click on the link Bethel Locator you can find the Bethel closest to you. Any daughter member and her family are welcome to join the Maryland Job’s Daughters at any fun activity. This will enable you to interact with many of the girls.
I am looking forward to visiting all of the Bethels and traveling as much as possible. I want to be able to give back to Job’s Daughters, what it has given to me.
Jobie Hugs
